Südinsel Neuseeland

Nur schönes Wetter erwartet uns auf der Südinsel. Am Donnerstag Abend fahren wir zur Schwester von Shirley.

We get nice weather all over the south island. Thursday evening we sleep at Shirley's sister Rachel's place.

Am Freitag erreichen wir den südlichsten Punkt unserer Reise, Kaikoura. Hier machen wir eine Albatros Tour und treffen noch auf Seehunde und Delfine.

On friday we reach the most southern point of our journey, Kaikoura. We go for an albatross tour and spot some seals and dolphins too.

Am nächsten Tag spazieren wir durch den Nelson Market und fahren dann durchs Hobbitland an die Golden Bay. Auf dem Rückweg halten wir noch kurz an den Pupuquellen.

The next day we stroll through the Nelson market. Afterwards we drive through the hobbit land to the Golden Bay. On our way back we stop at the Pupu Springs.

Kia ora Neuseeland

In Auckland angekommen fahren wir direkt nach Hamilton zu Delwyn und Vaughan, einem Cousin von Shirley. Wir werden mit einem BBQ begrüsst. Im Moment wohnen noch 4 Kätzchen und deren Mutter bei Ihnen.

Arrived in Auckland, we directly drive to Delwyn and Vaughan's (cousin of Shirley) place in Hamilton. They welcome us with a yummie BBQ. 4 kittens and their mother are living with them at the moment.

Am nächsten Morgen starten wir zuerst zu den Waitomo Tropfsteinhöhlen, einer der wenigen Orte mit Glühwürmchen.

We drive to the Waitomo Caves, one of the rare places to see the glow wormes.

Am Nachmittag besuchen wir das Kiwi Haus und fahren dann nach Taupo.

We have a short look at the Kiwi House in the afternoon before we drive to Taupo.

In Taupo relaxen wir am Dienstag Morgen in der Therme, dann fahren wir weiter nach Shannon zu Shirley.

Tuesday morning, we relax in the hot thermes in Taupo. Afterwards, we drive down to Shannon where Shirley lives.

Shirley zeigt uns am Mittwoch zuerst wo sie arbeitet. Wir besuchen danach ihre Mutter in Foxton Beach, ihren Vater in Wanganui und ihre Schwester auf der Farm. Am Abend gibt es Fish'n Chips.

On Wednesday, Shirley shows us the place she and her husband Bakie works. After that we shortly visit her mum in Foxton Beach, her dad in Wanganui and her sister on her farm. We eat fish'n chips for dinner.

Heute früh sind wir mit der Fähre von Wellington nach Picton gefahren und sehen uns jetzt hier um.

In the early morning today we took the ferry from Wellington to Picton, where we have a look at the moment.
