An event marathon is waiting for us in New York. After travelling the whole thursday, we start off on friday noon with the Broadway Musical Lion King.

Afterwards, we head almost directly to the Madison Square Garden to watch the New York Rangers take on the Philadelphia Flyers. The Rangers win the hockey game by 4:2.
Den 24. Dezember widmen wir fast gänzlich der letzten noch fehlenden grossen US-Sportart, die wir noch nicht live gesehen haben. Bei stahlblauem Himmel, 3 Grad Celsius und Brise frieren wir uns den A... ab beim Spiel New York Jets gegen New York Giants. Das Footballspiel gewinnen die Giants.
The 24th of December is mostly dedicated to the last big US sport we didn't see live yet. Having an absolutely clear blue sky, 3 degrees celsius and breeze, we freeze our a.. off at the New York Jets vs. New York Giants game. The Giants win the football game.
Am Weihnachtsabend gehen wir zuerst zum Rockefeller Center mit dem Weihnachtsbaum und dem Eisfeld. Danach laufen wir die 5th Avenue bis zu FAO Schwarz. Zum Schluss machen wir noch einen Abstecher zum Ground Zero und den neuen Gebäuden, die dort entstehen.
On Christmas Eve, we have a look at the Christmas tree and ice rink at the Rockefeller Center. Aftererwards, we walk up the 5th avenue to FAO Schwarz. To end the day, we drive to the Ground Zero to have a short look at the new buildings there.
Am Weihnachtstag sind wir beim NBA Season Opener dabei. Die New York Knicks schlagen die Boston Celtics knapp mit 106:104.
